About Me

Where to start… at the start?
It all started with an idea to run the London Marathon back in 2010, this was back when the old system meant that if you didn’t get in through the ballot after 5 years of applying you would be guaranteed a place the following year. The plan was to start building the years/training but as luck would have it- I got in on the first year of applying!
I finished in 3 hours and 53 minutes and remember thinking I never wanted to run that distance again (as most people do when they finish!) but after a few days and weeks of recovery the urge to see if I could run faster planted a seed in my brain..

Since then I’ve run another 6 marathons, including great running locations such as Berlin, Tokyo and Leicester as well as countless half marathons, 10K’s and even an Ultra marathon in 2019 (a one time deal I think..)

Although I do a lot of my running solo including run-commuting to work, I also run with the amazing Adidas Runners London; they have such a varied amount of events, from speed work, long runs to nutrition and strength workouts- they have amazing coaches and runners of the most friendly sort. Alternatively, they have other Adidas Runners groups scattered around the world if you’re not in the UK or holidaying and fancy a run club.
Also a big shout out to We Are Daybreak– a really friendly community- if you fancy a morning run on a Tuesday around North London definitely look them up, there’s usually a post-run coffee/croissant catch-up afterwards.

Kit List.

Currently on my feet are the Adidas Evo SL- they’re a great all rounder, good for the longer runs with enough cushion but also good for some speed work (I use these for tempo runs).

Also a big fan of the Soar range, it’s usually a little pricier than the usual running gear but it’s quality stuff and the items I have have lasted a long time (they usually have an archive sale in the summer so look out for that).
